Want to write a deck about your friends, or would you rather select ready-made cards and start? Massive Decks and Cynical Cards offer different starting points. Separate preparation time from the game itself when choosing.
Custom decks, screens and hosting
The official Massive Decks repository describes a free, open-source game with custom decks through Many Decks. A shared screen is optional, and games are private by default with an optional password.

When writing a deck is worth the effort
A custom deck works best when everyone shares the references. Mix specific jokes with broader prompts so that each question can pair with several answers. Read a few random combinations aloud before the event: this is a useful way to catch cards that only work in one pairing.
For a group with newcomers, avoid making the entire deck about stories they have never heard. A short trial tells you more than adding dozens of cards without checking them.
Playing and running a server are separate choices
The project wiki offers a hosted instance and instructions for deploying your own copy. You do not have to operate a server just to try the game.
Choose self-hosting only if someone in your group wants to maintain it. For a casual evening, spend the preparation time on invitations, readable cards and a way to talk instead of adding technical work without a reason.
Starting with ready-made cards on bon.cards
In Cynical Cards, sign in, select decks when creating a room and invite 3–10 adults. The core game is free; optional shop features are separate. Russian and English can be selected for the interface and cards. A private gathering can use a room password.
Pick Massive Decks if its custom-deck workflow or deployment options are central to your plans. Try Cynical Cards if its existing decks and community fit your evening. Neither game is a version of the other.
